Mr Charles J. Falzon - Profile

Charles J. Falzon was appointed as Director of the Central Bank of Malta for a period of five years with effect from 7 February 2004. He holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School and a BA (Hons) degree in economics from the University of Malta. He also holds professional qualifications from the Institute of Quality Assurance (UK) and the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (UK).

Mr Falzon has been lecturing at the University of Malta since 1978 and currently holds the post of Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy where he lectures on managerial economics and operations management. Mr Falzon has also sat on various academic boards and committees at the University of Malta. He has carried out consultancy work and drawn up reports on various projects for corporate bodies in both the public and the private sector.
